New 5.7-Inch iPhone SE Likely To Launch In 2023 According To Analyst

Apple is now expected to announce a new iPhone SE with 5G connectivity over the next three months but a new report is already looking out to 2024.

That report, courtesy of display analyst Ross Young, suggests that a new and larger iPhone SE will arrive next year.

The report, coming in the form of a couple of tweets, has Apple launching a new 5.7-inch iPhone SE next year. We’ve heard similar reports before that have pointed to 2024 as a launch date, but Young believes 2023 is the one to look to.

The same report suggests that Apple’s 5G iPhone will carry a name that matches that functionality. If accurate, the report has the new device being called iPhone SE+ 5G which doesn’t match any of Apple’s current naming conventions. That, however, is what Young believes.

The timeframe for a launch of the larger device seems suspect, however. Apple doesn’t often refresh its iPhone SE models every year, again pushing a new device to 2024. Is it possible that Apple could launch the larger iPhone SE without a refresh of the smaller one? Perhaps.

Apple is heavily rumored to be readying the 4.7-inch 5G iPhone SE refresh for March or April, with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman pointing to a virtual event of some sort being held.
